1. Overview

DeskApp is built to run primarily on the device it's installed on. Your business data — customers, karigars, orders, inventory, invoices, and accounting records — is stored locally in an on-device database and is not required to pass through any third-party server for the app to function.

2. Information We Collect

The app stores the following categories of data locally on your device:

• Account credentials — usernames and securely hashed passwords used to sign in to the app.
• Business records — customer, karigar (artisan), employee, inventory, order, invoice, and accounting entries that you or your staff enter.
• Session data — a session token stored in encrypted secure storage to keep you signed in.
• Device connectivity status — used only to determine whether the app can sync, never transmitted anywhere.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, camera, or microphone data.

3. How Your Information Is Used

Data entered into DeskApp is used solely to:

• Run day-to-day business operations within the app (orders, billing, inventory, attendance, accounting).
• Authenticate users and maintain a signed-in session.
• Generate reports and summaries for your own business use.

None of this data is used for advertising, profiling, or sold to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

DeskApp does not share, sell, or transmit your business data to third parties. Because the app is local-first, your records remain on the device unless you explicitly export or back them up yourself.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, never in plain text.
• Session tokens are kept in the device's encrypted secure storage.
• Business data lives in a local, app-sandboxed database that other apps cannot access.

Uninstalling the app removes the local database and all data stored by the app from the device.

6. Children's Privacy

DeskApp is a business tool intended for shop owners and staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• You control all data entered into the app — it stays on your device.
• You may delete any record directly within the app.
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
